How it all started
Designed by a Swede, Evar Bergström, the Tebrax shelving system was first made in London in 1954 and patented internationally. The drawings shown are taken from the original US patent application.
From its inception, the system was well received and was featured by the Design Council in the original Design Index at the Design Centre.
Tested by the UK government's National Physical Laboratory the Tebrax aluminium shelving bracket system has been shown to be very strong and reliable, yet easy to handle and adapt. Although evolving to reflect market requirements and technology advances, components ordered today are fully compatible with any Tebrax system installed years ago.
The complete Tebrax system is manufactured & distributed in the UK by CSM Pressings Ltd of South Wales, a specialist metal pressing and fabrication company.
CSM Pressings are a modern, forward thinking and flexible manufacturing group, happy to take enquiries for either small scale domestic shelving, larger individual designs for trade installation, or direct sales to commercial establishments.
